Dr Saiuj Bhat graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2020. He is currently working as a training registrar in General Practice, having previously worked in various surgical specialties including orthopaedic surgery, plastic surgery, vascular surgery, and at the state trauma unit. Alongside his GP training, he teaches at Curtin medical school and is involved in a number of research project in various disciplines, and with collaborators all over the world.
He enjoys musculoskeletal, sports, and exercise medicine, minor procedures including skin lesions and some joint injections, injury management, wound care, cardiometabolic medicine including weight loss and diabetes, and preventive health.
Outside of work, he loves hiking, exploring the world, reading magic realist novels, watching documentaries, and spending time with family and friends. He is desperately hoping to improve his golf swing, take up sailing, and get back to running a half marathon again.”
